GoWear fit now supports daily food logging

The main differences between the bodybugg and the GoWear fit devices have been software-only: the GoWear fit tracks sleep and the bodybugg doesn’t, and until now, the bodybugg let you log your daily food consumption, and the GoWear fit did not.

Well, if you’re trying to decide which one to buy, the choice just got easier. The GoWear fit now supports daily food logging.

The logging tool is virtually identical to the bodybugg’s interface:

Throw in the sleep tracking and a lower price to boot, and the GoWear fit is now the obvious choice!

Did you find that the bodybugg worked for you? I’m debating on buying one (or some similar item) and I am wondering how effective it is. I have two friends who have used it, lost weight and love it but I’d like a strangers opinion! Ha.

Out of curiosity, since I read about so many problems non-Windows users had with the BodyBugg… Do you have any information about how the GoWear Fit software functions under a Linux-based OS?

Nevermind. I found their website. That would be a no-go on Linux.

I have the new bodybugg and the software said it would not support it. This is the little black square one.

I bought the go wear fit on amazon. I thought I was getting the bodybugg, and was about to cancel my order then I read more about it. I found that they are both made by the same company and the bodybugg is “issued” by 24hour fitness and helps them keep track of their users. I use mine on either my PC or my Mac just depending on where im at in the house. The first week I used the go wear fit I lost 4lbs. the second week 7lbs, then I got cocky and started not tracking my food and put 5lbs back on. I think what made that start happening was finding out I could go almost 14 days without logging in and “syncing” my GWF. That literally “sunk” my ability to keep track of myself. I have started telling myself that I need to get back in on things and get moving again. The other thing that GWF has going for it is the monthly price. You can get a year membership for half the price of the bodybugg website. All in All I love the gowear fit and wouldn’t change it for anything.

I’ve been a user of the system for long time and originally bought the armband + display combo. That worked well enough but the idea of being able to see all of my data in real time from my newly purchased Iphone was too much for me to resist. I’ve been using it for a few days now and I have to say that I love it!
